About Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering Department of Government polytechnic college pachore was started in the year 1988 with initial intake capacity of 30 students. After its establishment department under its umbrella has constantly been creating mechanical engineers having comprehensive knowledge of the domain and practical learning experience to serve the industrial needs and societal demand.
Mechanical Department is at Government Polytechnic College Pachore is having good infrastructural facility consisting well equiped labs and workshop. The Mechanical Engineering Department is well equipped with Wifi facility.
Vision
Our Vision is to empower students through comprehensive Mechanical education and develop quality diploma engineers to excel in industry and entrepreneurship, thereby contributing to sustainable development of the nation
Facilities
Our department features well-equipped laboratories that support a wide range of practical applications:
- Thermal Engineering Lab: Equipped with different machines and models to enhance the capabilities of students in thermal domain
- Fluid Mechanics Lab: Offers facilities for experiments on fluid behavior and properties, includes venturimeter, orificemeter and equipments for measuring pressure heads etc
- Material testing Lab: Features equipment for testing material strength and behavior under different loads, spring testing and shaft testing machines, providing critical insights into material selection and design.
- Automobile Engineering Lab: Features various automobile elements and mechanisms used in automobile as steering system, Engine models and different types of brakes and clutches for enhancing the concepts of students.
- Mechanics and TOM lab : Consists of various mechanisms and machineries such as crank and slotted lever, whitworth mechanism , flywheels, governors and also different elementary devices to validate various theorem and principles of Engineering Mechanics.
Metrology Lab : Metrology Lab of the department consists of wide range of advanced measuring instruments, high precision equipments as sine bars, gauges etc.
